Station's Web Premium - How to create a CNAME DNS entry

    • Offizieller Beitrag

If you wish to use your own webaddress (URL) for the Station's Web Premium, you need to set a so called CNAME entry at your website's management panel. This entry points from your URL to the Station's Web page. You can imagine this as a sort of redirevtion for your internet browser.

Most internet providers give you a management panel for the administration of your domain (URL). Right there, you should also find the DNS administration panel (might also be called DNS or Nameserver administration). Please create a so called CNAME entry for your desired URL which points to stationsweb.awekas.at

    For example:
If your desired URL is http://www.examplepage.at, please create the following entry: http://www.examplepage.at with CNAME pointing to stationsweb.awekas.at

If you don't want to change the existing webspace, you can link the Station's Web page to a so called subdomain. This could be for example: wetter.examplepage.at or stationsweb.examplepage.at For this, just follow the example above, it works for a subdomain as well.

If you have problems with creating a CNAME entry, please ask the support team of your internet provider.

Please don't forget to tell us your URL after the configuration and your AWEKAS ID.

You can check if the configuration process is complete if you open your URL in your browser and "AWEKAS Test (C) AWEKAS - all rights reserved" appears.
