Stationsweb Help - Switching Weather Stations

To switch between stations directly in the app, Stationsweb must be running in (Web)App Mode (see: Operating Modes).

Note: If the „Switch Station” button in the side menu or the „My Stations” entry in the settings is not displayed, you are in the wrong mode.

Configuring and Switching Between Stations

Stations can be added and managed under Settings → My Stations.

Once stations are configured, you can switch between them in two ways:

• When the sidebar is open — directly via the station list in the sidebar.
• Via the „Switch Station” button in the side menu.

Displaying the Nearest Station

When the option „Show Nearest Station” is enabled in the settings, the nearest available station is automatically displayed in the station switcher.

Requirements

This feature requires a reliable method of determining the device’s location — preferably GPS. The device type, operating system and browser, as well as their respective settings, have a significant influence on whether and at what quality location data is available. The location is updated every 5 minutes.

Search Criteria

The search is conducted within a radius of approx. 25 km around the determined location. A station is only displayed if it meets all of the following criteria:

• Current and public values for temperature, air pressure, wind and precipitation
• Not protected by a PIN

Privacy

By enabling this feature, your device’s location is transmitted to AWEKAS. This data is neither stored nor shared.
