2/09/2020: Solar+UV issue solved. Seems my console was locking on to another (unknown) VP2 ISS (probably non-Plus, without Solar+UV sensors) also using ID.1. Changing my set to ID.2 seems to have cured the drop-outs. Consequence: my real wind speeds now reporting correctly, but being synoptically and locally sheltered, will always be unrepresentatively low.
14/07/2020: Solar+UV drop-out problem has continued over recent weeks.
2/10/2019: Coincidence or not, but solar/UV recovered to normal values at 16:15 after pressing a few display buttons on Davis VP2 condole...
1/10/2019: Solar & UV flatlining ll day. Have has similar occasional flatlining of these sensors over the summer, but for only short (<6hr) periods before auto-recovering (always both sensors in sync). Checking actual sensors and connectors to ISS appear OK; suspect some problem with the ISS itself. All other sensors unaffected.
31/05/2017: Off-air 13:00 - 15:00 UTC to Install Davis VP2 FARS (fan-assisted radiation shield) & new-design aero-rain funnel. This should reduce estimated 1.5-2degC max temp over-read in calm, strong direct sun summer conditions and more accurate rain catch when windy
3/11/2016: T/h sensor replaced. Good readings since 16:10 UTC
27/10/2016: Temperature/humidity sensor not working from 02:40 UTC. Awaiting replacement.
4/07/2016: Station has always reported wind speeds in m/s but AWEKAS incorrectly set to km/h resulting in apparent winds too low by a scaling factor 3.6. Units in m/s are now consistent.
