Stationsweb Help - Licensing & In-App Subscription

Note: This page covers in-app purchases through the AWEKAS Stationsweb iOS and Android apps, as well as licenses available via the AWEKAS Shop.


Overview

AWEKAS Stationsweb licenses can be acquired in two ways:

  • AWEKAS Shop โ€“ available for customers with a billing address in the EU or Switzerland. Shop licenses are non-recurring (one-time purchases).
  • In-app subscription โ€“ available worldwide through the AWEKAS Stationsweb iOS or Android app, billed automatically on a recurring basis via Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Both methods grant the same core Stationsweb functionality. The right choice depends on your location, preferred payment method, and whether you want automatic renewal.


Subscription Types

In-App Subscriptions (Recurring)

Two billing cycles are available through the app:

  • Monthly โ€“ billed each month, license valid for one month at a time. Renews automatically unless cancelled.
  • Annual โ€“ billed once per year, license valid for one full year. Renews automatically unless cancelled.

In-app subscriptions activate immediately after purchase and renew automatically until cancelled.

AWEKAS Shop Licenses (Non-Recurring)

Shop licenses are purchased as a one-time payment for a fixed duration and do not renew automatically. You can add multiple units (years) to your cart to cover several years at once โ€” a multi-year discount is applied automatically in the cart once more than one unit is added.

Shop licenses are typically activated within one business day. If your license is not activated within 5 business days, contact sales@awekas.at.


Payment Options

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) using the payment method on file with your device account.

AWEKAS Shop supports the following payment methods:

  • Direct bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • Credit card, Klarna, Apple Pay, and other methods supported by Mollie

How do I purchase a license in the app?

  1. Open the AWEKAS Stationsweb app and go to Settings.
  2. Make sure you are signed in with the AWEKAS account associated with the weather station you want to activate Stationsweb for.
  3. Navigate to Subscription Management and select your preferred subscription type (monthly or annual).
  4. Complete the purchase using the system dialog from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

The license is activated immediately upon successful payment.


I have more than one weather station. Can I subscribe for multiple stations?

Due to platform restrictions, only one active in-app subscription per Apple or Google account is permitted at a time. If you need licenses for multiple stations, you have the following options:

  • Use a separate Apple or Google account on your device for each additional station.
  • Purchase non-recurring licenses via the AWEKAS Shop (available to customers in the EU and Switzerland) โ€” shop licenses do not carry this per-account restriction.

What is Stationsweb Premium?

Stationsweb Premium is an enhanced tier that unlocks additional features beyond the standard license:

  • Website embedding โ€“ embed your Stationsweb page on your own website as an iFrame.
  • Custom domain โ€“ use your own domain instead of stationsweb.awekas.at (configured via a CNAME DNS entry).
  • Custom subdomain โ€“ use a custom subdomain: [CUSTOM-SUBDOMAIN].stationsweb.net for directly accessing your Stationsweb page.
  • Visitor analytics โ€“ access insights such as visitor counts.

Stationsweb Premium is exclusively available via the AWEKAS Shop (EU and Switzerland only) and cannot be purchased as an in-app subscription. When ordering, make sure to select the Premium variant before adding it to your cart.


How do I cancel my subscription?

In-app subscriptions are managed through your deviceโ€™s store. To cancel, go to your subscription settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and cancel from there.

Shop licenses are non-recurring and do not need to be cancelled โ€” they simply expire at the end of the purchased period.


How do I switch between monthly and annual billing?

To change your billing cycle for an in-app subscription, visit your subscription settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and update the subscription type there.

If you prefer to switch to a non-recurring license instead, you can cancel your in-app subscription and purchase a license through the AWEKAS Shop once the current billing period has ended (EU/Switzerland only).


Can I transfer my license to a different weather station?

No. Transferring an active AWEKAS Stationsweb license from one station to another is not supported, regardless of whether it was purchased via in-app subscription or the AWEKAS Shop.


How do I move my in-app subscription to a different weather station?

If you want to stop licensing one station and start licensing a different one:

  1. Cancel the existing subscription for the current station via your App Store or Play Store settings.
  2. Wait until the current billing period expires โ€” do not start a new subscription before then.
  3. Once the period has ended, sign in with the account linked to the new station and start a fresh subscription.

How do I request a refund?

AWEKAS does not process refunds directly. All refund requests must be submitted to the store through which the purchase was made:

  • Apple App Store โ€“ contact Apple Support or use the Report a Problem link in your purchase history.
  • Google Play Store โ€“ contact Google Play Support or request a refund through your order history.
