If Device List is empty and does not show your display console then there is a problem.
Possible problems:
- The smartphone is not on the same WiFi as the display console
- The display console is not connected to WiFi
- The WiFi network does not allow communicating with other WiFi devices (often the case in enterprise networks).
- You may be using WiFi extender and that may causing smartphone and display console to be on different network segments
- You may have a double NAT situation. A double NAT is where more than one device is acting as a router and you have a router behind another router and maybe smartphone and display console are on different subnets.
- The smartphone may prefer to use cellular data. Try turning off cellular data. Not airplane mode as that will turn WiFi off also. Only turn off cellular data. If you don't know how to do this, then you can also take the SIM card out of the smartphone to force WiFi only.
