SUNDAY 17TH JUNE 2012

WEATHER STATION TEMPORARILY OFFLINE DUE TO HARDWARE FAILURE

Tuesday 12th June 2012 7:30am

  • Met Office Weather Warning today.
  • Yellow alert for Rain .
  • Further rain is likely on Tuesday morning across southeast England and parts of East Anglia, some of which could be heavy. Given that the ground is saturated in places, following recent heavy rainfall, there is a risk of localised surface water flooding as well as possible river flooding - most likely towards Sussex and Hampshire.  The public should be aware that this could prolong travel problems in some areas.
  • The rain should gradually ease from the northwest during Tuesday morning, and the warning now elapses at midday.

Monday 11th June 2012 7am

  • Met Office Weather Warning today.
  • Amber/Yellow alert for Rain .
  • Rain, heavy at times will persist well into Monday, before gradually easing away westwards during the afternoon. Further thundery downpours are possible in the southeast later.
  • The public should be prepared for surface water flooding and localised river flooding, as well as very difficult driving conditions.
  • This warning has been upgraded to amber on the basis of latest computer model output and observations, with some adjustments also to the area covered by the yellow warning.

Sunday 10th June 2012 1pm

  • Met Office Weather Warning today.
  • Yellow alert for Rain .
  • Outbreaks of rain are likely to become heavy and possibly thundery on Sunday evening over parts of southern England, particularly the southeast. The public should be aware that this could lead to localised surface water flooding.

Friday 8th June 8am

  • Met Office Weather Warning today.  Yellow alert for Strong Winds possibly reaching upto 50mph later today.
  • Also possibility of Heavy rain showers.
  • Warning to drivers of high sided vehicles to avoid the A20 between Folkestone and Dover
