Development Update

Since the release of the revised weather map and the new website, additional detail improvements have been implemented.

Detail Changes to the Weather Map

Several refinements and bug fixes have been made to the weather map. The Beaufort scale has also been integrated for wind speed and wind gusts.

Global Network Overview on the Homepage

On the previous AWEKAS homepage, current extreme values and weather reports were displayed. This feature has been conceptually revised and integrated into the new AWEKAS homepage.

Weather reports from the past two hours are now displayed. Warning messages are automatically prioritized and highlighted accordingly. In addition, extreme values for precipitation, temperature, and wind speed are clearly visible – including direct links to the corresponding map view.

These enhancements expand the presentation of information within the network and improve the overall overview of current weather conditions.

Outlook

Following the recent updates to the website and weather map, the focus of development now shifts back to the AWEKAS Stationsweb. The goal is to further optimize existing features and continue developing the platform overall.
