Due to data transmission issues with Bresser weather stations when using AWEKAS, please find below a summary table outlining the different possible transmission methods, as defined in the Bresser instruction manuals valid as of December 13, 2025, according to your specific model:
Generally speaking, only Bresser stations with 5-days to 2-weeks forecasts can transmit data to AWEKAS, but with interruptions that AWEKAS cannot control. These data are sent via Pro Weather Live (PWL) and its servers. These stations do not allow direct configuration with AWEKAS, as shown below:
Consequently, transmissions are routed through PWL to obtain weather forecasts, and transfers to AWEKAS may be unreliable.
If you wish to send data directly and securely, you must use the settings to access the AWEKAS server directly, when the station software allows it.
URL = ws.awekas.at
StationID = your AWEKAS account username
Station key = your AWEKAS account password
In this case, the station settings allow you to configure them as shown below:
With these settings, yours data are directly sent to AWEKAS, even if PWL servers are shut down. You will not experience any interruption in data transmission if your Wi-Fi network is correctly running, and, of course, all received data are saved and archived on AWEKAS servers.
Some stations have specific settings that allow sending data to AWEKAS (via the WUnderground API) as shown below:
In conclusion, if you send your data via the AWEKAS URL (ws.awekas.at), you can be sure that your data will be uploaded to AWEKAS servers where it is archived and backed up without service interruption, whether the PWL servers are running or not.
If you haven't yet purchased your weather station, choose one that doesn't include weather forecasts, and also consider EcoWitt stations, which are similar and running well.
And for those who would like to have forecasts, look at the AWEKAS Stationsweb application... a small price for many services and features. See Mon/MyStationsweb below.
