Scope

The use of AWEKAS is subject to the general terms and conditions of AWEKAS GmbH. The following terms apply in addition to members who operate a weather station on AWEKAS.

Duration of membership

Membership of AWEKAS is concluded for an indefinite period and can be terminated at any time without giving reasons. The member can delete their account at any time in the user profile. AWEKAS can end the membership by deleting the account.

Data acceptance and obligations of members

AWEKAS reserves the right to refuse the acceptance of individual, several or all data of a member, temporarily or permanently. In any case there is no obligation to accept data if AWEKAS would otherwise expose itself to the risk of legal prosecution.

The member undertakes not to use the AWEKAS services, or allow others to use them, in a way that impairs third parties or endangers the security or operation of AWEKAS or other computers.

Retrieved information and data must not be used contrary to legal provisions and regulations or contrary to the provisions issued for this purpose by the provider of the database or the service.

Storage and services

The member acknowledges that AWEKAS is not obliged to store content data (e.g. log files) for members indefinitely or to keep it available for retrieval.

AWEKAS reserves the right to extend, change and improve its services.

Further use of data (AWEKAS Plus)

Activating the AWEKAS Plus function in the user profile unlocks advanced functions and extends the scope of the services provided. A list of these functions can be found on the AWEKAS website. Activation is done by selecting “Yes” for AWEKAS Plus in the member’s user profile.

By activating AWEKAS Plus, the member expressly grants AWEKAS the right to pass on the member’s data to third parties and to use it commercially. This does not create any claim of third parties against the member. E-mail address, AWEKAS user name and password are excluded from the transfer. Consent to the transfer can be withdrawn at any time by deactivating AWEKAS Plus in the user profile.

Newsletters, information and marketing

AWEKAS may send newsletters, information about AWEKAS services and marketing e-mails to the e-mail address stored in the user profile.

These e-mails can be cancelled at any time free of charge using the unsubscribe link in the respective e-mail. Unsubscribing does not affect the membership or the data transmission of the weather station.

Data protection

Personal data are processed in accordance with the privacy policy.
