Weather display - Weather conditions different between WD and AWEKAS

Hello,

I found out that the condition "Mist" in Weather-Display generates "Drizzle" in Awekas. The icon-number in WD is 10.

Can you please correct this?
Thanks!

Rgds,
Kees.

21-12-2008: Very disappointed that there still is no reaction....
13-04-2009: I can't understand why there is no reaction at all... We do our very best to deliver reliable data to Awekas, there should be some support when we ask for it!

See answers above in blue. We had similar problem in the past with "storm" when it was thunderstorm, see: http://www.awekas.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1729

>> This condition is sent automatically by WD, not manual with report function, sorry for this.

As you can see icon nr. 10 is "mist", not light rain.
Could you please contact Brian about this?

Thanks!

Kees.

Hello

The list from me is the AWEKAS condition list. Other conditions are NOT supported. Also wrong condition reports from METAR information have been sent by several stations.

I have send Brian a request many times (also a bug report) but no response.....

I think i will disable condition reporting with WD !

Please wait a little, would be a shame to disable it. I asked Brian in the WD-forum: http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.p…ic,39512.0.html

Weather Condtions

Othmar,

I would suggest that you move to a METAR reporting system rather than the small subset of conditions using hard coded constants.

This would allow for a much larger range of sky conditions and weather reports.

See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/METAR

and

http://www.alaska.faa.gov/fai/afss/metar%20taf/metcont.htm
